I have agreed to support Feb Free as I would love to help out the School of St Jude as they provide people less fortunate with things we take for granted. For example, getting an education and having a roof over our heads!

I would like to give up chocolate for the month of Feb. This will be hard as I have a little bit every day, but I think it is worth giving it up for such a good cause!

The School of St Jude (Global Development Group - J582)

The School of St Jude is a Global Development Group (GDG) supported aid and development project (J582) based in Arusha, Tanzania, Africa. The School of St Jude commenced in 2002 with just one teacher, three students and a bold vision to educate the future leaders of Tanzania.  Today, on a day to day basis, St Jude's continues to positively impact the lives of almost 1600 students, 400 Tanzanian teachers and staff and the wider Tanzanian community.

St Jude's offers a free, high quality education to children from the poorest of the poor families in the area. Without St Jude's these children would struggle to escape the spiral of poverty into which they were born.  The vision of the project is to be an exemplary, modern and self-sustainable institution that effects a paradigm shift on the educational system in Tanzania by enabling Tanzanians to run successful and moral schools, thereby alleviating poverty and breaking the cycle of dependency on external aid. We celebrate the thousands of people who have caught the vision and demonstrated their care and compassion by sharing their time, their talents and their funds to help bring St Judes this far. Together, our St Jude's family will continue to make a difference.
